Financing FAQ
In-house financing (Buy Here Pay Here) means you make payments directly to Elk Creek Trailers at your own pace with zero interest and no fees. The trailer is delivered once it's paid in full. Commercial financing goes through one of our lending partners — you get the trailer sooner, but it's a traditional loan with set terms and interest based on your credit profile.
Not necessarily. Our in-house program has no credit requirements at all. For commercial financing, credit does play a role — but we work with multiple lenders who cover a range of credit profiles, including options for newer businesses using personal credit. The best way to find out is to reach out and tell us your situation.
With our in-house Buy Here Pay Here program, delivery happens once the trailer is paid in full. You make payments in amounts that work for you — there's no set schedule. Once the balance is cleared, we coordinate delivery.
Terms vary by lender and your situation. We have programs that extend to 36 months or longer, which can significantly lower your monthly payment. We'll work with you to find a term length that makes sense for your cash flow and business goals.
It depends on the program. A down payment is not required for in-house financing — you simply start making payments. For commercial financing, some lenders may require a down payment depending on your credit profile and the loan amount. Having a down payment available can also help you qualify for better terms.
Yes. We specifically work with lenders who have programs for newer businesses. If your business is less than 12 months old, your personal credit profile becomes a larger factor. As long as your personal credit is in good standing, there are options available. Contact us and we'll be honest about what you qualify for.
